Most of the time vaping can be a simple and enjoyable experience, however sometimes you may run into some common issues like leaking, burnt coils, weak vapour production and many more. By learning how to fix, or at least reduce, these issues can make your vaping experience less stressful. This blog will explain how to help with common issues and how to prevent these issues from happening in the future.

1. Leaking Vape Tank
Causes:
- Overfilling the tank.
- Loose or damaged seals.
- Using the wrong PG/VG ratio for your devices wattage and resistances.
- Storing your vape improperly.
- Using coils past it’s lifespan.
Fix:
- Ensure all seals and O-rings are intact and properly fitted.
- Don’t overfill your tank—leave some space for airflow.
- Use the recommended e-liquid thickness for your device.
- Store your vape upright to prevent leakage.
- Change the coil if it’s older than 4 days.
2. Burnt Taste from Coil

Causes:
- Dry hitting (vaping without enough e-liquid in the coil).
- Chain vaping (taking multiple hits too quickly).
- Using a coil past its lifespan (1-2 weeks depending on usage).
- Using liquids that are either too thick or thin for your coil.
Fix:
- Prime your coil before use by saturating it with e-liquid.
- Allow the coil to soak for 5-10 minutes before vaping.
- Avoid taking hits too frequently to let the wick re-absorb liquid.
- Replace your coil regularly (every 1-2 weeks, depending on use).
- Depending what coil you are using try thinner or thicker liquid.
3. Weak or No Vapour Production

Causes:
- Low battery power.
- Clogged airflow or dirty connections.
- Incorrect wattage settings.
- It could be that you may have gotten a faulty coil so check on your device what resistance they are reading at.
- Old, worn out coil.
Fix:
- Ensure your battery is fully charged.
- Clean the tank, coil, and airflow vents to remove debris.
- Check that your device is set to the appropriate wattage for your coil.
- Check your device what resistance your coil is reading at and make sure they are correct, change the coil if it’s an older coil.
4. Gurgling or Spitting E-Liquid

Causes:
- Flooded coil
- Inhaling too forcefully
- Using too thin of an e-liquid (high PG)
- Running your vapes wattage too low for your coil’s resistance.
Fix:
- Remove the coil and gently blow out excess liquid.
- Take slower, more controlled inhales.
- Use a higher VG e-liquid if your device allows it.
- Check what wattage is best for your coil and keep it in between recommended settings.
5. Battery Not Working or Charging

Causes:
- Loose or dirty battery connections.
- Faulty charging port or cable/charger.
- Worn-out or old battery.
Fix:
- Clean the battery terminals with a dry cloth.
- Try a different charger or cable.
- Replace the battery if it’s old or damaged.

FAQ
My mod/pod lights blink or flash when I try to fire—what’s wrong?
This could be caused by some liquid or pocket fluff interrupting the connection to the coil, or simply an old over-used coil. Try gently wiping the connections, and if that doesn’t work try a fresh pod/coil.
Why does my vape auto‑fire (activate) without me pressing the button?
The most common cause for this is liquid damage. If coils/pods remain unchecked for a long time, or if you’re experiencing frequent leaking issues, some of that liquid may have made its way down to the cables and are causing issues. Unfortunately, this isn’t covered under warranty, however you can try taking out your pod, turning your vape upside down with a bit of tissue underneath it and just leaving it somewhere dry and warm for a while. There’s no timeline or a guarantee to this method working, and depends on how extensive the liquid damage is. however, we have noticed that some devices that don’t get touched for minimum a week, have stopped this issue.
Why does my coil taste burnt almost immediately?
While sometimes this can be a dodgy coil issue, the most common reason for this is insufficient soaking time or simply wrong liquid viscosity. If your device is button activated, make sure you turn it off prior to attaching a new coil to it to stop burning it out by accident by pressing the button and give it at least 10 minutes to soak through. If it’s a new flavour you’re trying, make sure it’s suitable for your coil. The smaller the coil you have, the thinner the liquid you want to put in it.
Why is e‑liquid leaking out of the airflow holes or mouthpiece?
Unfortunately, most common reasons for this are down to user error. While hot weather and over used coil play a role in this, most commonly it’s either caused by forgetting to turn off your device when you put it in your bag, causing it to ‘set off’ in your pocket, liquid that’s too thin for your coil or on the wrong power setting, or the coil simply being too powerful for how you use it. Double check that it’s turned off when you’re not using it, check your liquid viscosity and coil recommended wattage, or if you’re new to the device, it might just take a bit of practice to get the correct draw for the coil.
Are there any “do’s and don’ts” I should follow to prolong device life?
Lithium batteries (vape batteries) have a life span of about 300 recharges before the battery capacity starts dropping, same as your mobile phone. So even if you’re careful with the USB port and charging daily, after about 10 months you might start noticing that the battery doesn’t last as long. To get the maximum out of your device, make sure you change the coils regularly, keep an eye on leaking problems and wipe them as soon as you notice it and treat it with the care you would show your mobile phone. While dropping them sometimes can’t be avoided, bigger and more frequent drops might break your device before you’re ready to part with it.
